Happy Earth Day, Wanderlust For the Chronically Ill

I know, Earth Day “should” be about saving the Earth, and rightly so. Then there is the mind of ill people, sucked into the depths of yuck-and-muck. What if we used Earth Day to celebrate the Earth, regardless of chronic illness? What if we could use the day as a vehicle to mind travel, wanderlust. Get outside of ourselves, our hurting tired bodies and minds. A moment of relief from the daily grind of chronic illness!

Don’t Paint Me As A Victim, I Am Above That, So Are You

Don’t paint me as a victim, I am so much more than that, so are you. Victims we are but… Victim defines us only when we let it. Being a victim holds us a prisoner when we have so much more to offer the world. Remove the bars, the barriers, the prejudices, the pigeon holes that are useless and be who we are through our difficult circumstances. Get above it!!!!

Cycle of Suffering Because We Think Life Is Supposed To Be Fair

Kindness Is A Choice, Even For Ill People

I feel so bad, hurt so much, am so discouraged, have so many obstacles, that I can’t be kind. Well, I beg to differ. We can always try to be kind, even while we are ill. It might not always come across kindly to others but we sure can try. We can think before we speak or maybe just not speak sometimes. I do believe kindness is a choice, for the most part.

Treat Yourself Like Someone You Love

How do you treat someone you love? Usually, we are kind and loving, giving, put their needs above our own, etc. Okay, so we don’t get all that perfect all the time but you know how you desire to treat the ones you love. How do you treat yourself? Are you kind to yourself? Do you take care of your needs while you are chronically ill? Are you gracious in your attitude about yourself? Are we treating ourselves like we would treat someone else or are we rude, unkind, name-calling, and not stepping up to take care of basic needs?
