We all have obstacles in our lives. The chronically ill have some specific ones. Those obstacles are fierce and try to knock us down at every turn. Has illness knocked you down or are you letting your hair blow as you make your way through the intense obstacles?
How strong are the obstacles?
I know for a fact that the obstacles of chronic illness are fierce.
I am hearing of your struggles in some of the wildest circumstances.
I have lived through it myself and am amazed at what a human can endure and walk through.
Make a list of some of your PAST illness struggles that you are amazed YOU had the strength to walk through.
Some of mine are…
- Being alive today and not DEAD!!!!!!
- Endless years of isolation
- Endless years of depression
- Endless years of physical pain beyond comprehension
- Obstacles in taking a natural approach, going against the crowd
- Recovering from a level of several diseases that are supposed to be deadly
- Showing up for myself when (…that is a long list) during chronic illness
- Make YOUR list
What do we still have ahead of us? I know there are still obstacles that seem impossible.
We can only find out how strong the obstacles are IF we walk against them.
Keep Moving = CYCOLOGY of Chronic Illness
Don’t Take Obstacles Lying Down
It is when we try to keep moving through chronic illness, that we find out how strong the obstacles are in relation to how strong we are.
You WILL feel the wind in your hair as you move your way through chronic illness.
Sorry, but it is a fact that there will be obstacles.
You get to choose to take them lying down and getting stuck there or feeling the wind in your hair as you move your way through the obstacles.
“You find out the strength of a wind by trying to walk against it, not by lying down.”
~ C. S. Lewis
