Sunflowers are my favorite flower because they are so cheerful. They have also got to be the easiest flower to grow. Grow the right variety and you can eat your own sunflower seeds. Whether you grow sunflowers yourself or head to the store for a bag, they have nutritional value that you don’t want to miss. If you eat what is alive, you become alive.

Fear, calm and boring can all be rolled up into one day in the life of drama for someone with chronic illness. Nuts, but it is true. You know it because you are living it out as well. There can be complete boredom with the fear and drama of illness. And do we really need to hear again to “just be calm?” How can we walk through a single day with all of this nonsense?

Can you smell this from where you are? Smell is one of our senses which can transport us back in time with memories, both good and bad. Scent, on the other hand, is a distinct smell, especially one that is pleasant. I like the pleasant things in life so that is where I am going with my roses. This morning I felt covered in abundance as the rising sun was shining through my bedroom window and I could hear the birds chirping. What a way to wake up every morning. No matter where our bodies are located on this planet, once a day, every day, the sun rises. I am fortunate to live in a rural town with lots of trees that the birds love so they fill my ears with their songs every morning. I have enjoyed early mornings in this atmosphere. It reminds me that regardless of what is going on in life, there is an abundance to be seen and heard if I just dare to notice.

Grow where you are planted! I love that saying. It generates hope. Even when I could not connect the cyberspace dots in my brain to produce results, I grew from the experience. The last 24 hours have been a ball. Just when I thought I was hopeless on the Internet, I located cyberspace. Continue reading New Beginnings in Cyber Space
