When we break down the obstacles, we really can move forward, through chronic illness. Keeping the steps “easy” makes this doable.
I know, nothing “easy” about chronic illness. I get it.
So, now that we have established that, let’s keep rolling.
1. Accept That You Are Ill
It stinks. Illness has knocked you off your bum. The sooner it is accepted that you are in a state of chronic illness, the faster it is to move on to the next step.
2. Acknowledge That The Human Body Is Meant To Heal
Many get stuck right here and never move on. If you don’t believe your body is meant to heal, then you don’t even have the belief system to move you forward. The human body is meant to heal!!
3. Be Consious That Your Lifestyle Matters
We cannot pretend this away, your lifestyle matters greatly to your health.
4. Choose To Take Responsibility For Your Own Health
This is another step that people get really stuck. There is no health fairy that is going to do this for you. It must be done by YOU. You are the ONLY one who can take responsibility for your health.
5. Doing It
Simple as that, either do it or don’t do it. Doing it includes choosing a plan, a protocol, a way out of illness.
6. Environment Changes
When you change your environment, you make your body inhospitable to disease. Clean it up, move it out, get on with getting on with the life you were meant to live.
Keep Rolling
I know, it appears I have over simplified this, but have I really?
Most never get past step 2; Acknowledge that the human body is meant to heal. That means this is NOT oversimplified. This is tough stuff but it can be done.
To roll forward, you have to take the steps, no matter how impossible it seems. Others have moved through chronic illness and on to fantastic lives. Others have done it, so can you.
