Dry Brushing – Detox Naturally

Easy smeezy, one brush, 5 minutes!!

Every bit of detoxing you can do while chronically ill, is one step closer to health!!

Dry Brushing Instructions

  1. Use a natural bristle brush with a long handle
  2. Do NOT wet the skin
  3. Move in a long sweeping motion toward the heart
  4. Brush each area several times
  5. After brushing, bathe normally
  6. Clean brush

1. Use a natural bristle brush with a long handle

I like using “natural” materials for anything that touches my body. There are some fancy “natural” brushes out there but I like the combo of economical and as “natural” as I can get. Natural bristle brush with a long handle so you can reach your toes and fingers with more ease.

Notice that this brush in particular comes apart. It allows you to separate the brush part from the handle for times when you want to focus on your middle body and not have the clunky long handle.

2. Do NOT wet the skin

The whole idea of DRY brushing is that your skin and brush need to be DRY for this to work. Since you are exfoliating and stimulating the skin, it needs to be dry.

TIP: if dead skin on your bathroom floor is not cool with you, do it standing in your shower BEFORE you turn the water on. Then when you are done, shower or bath as normal and it will wash it down your drain.

3. Move in a long sweeping motion toward the heart

The long handle makes this easy-smeezie. Hold on to the end of the handle, reach the brush part to your toes and pull/brush up your legs. Same with your hands. Start at the fingers and pull/brush up your arms, to your shoulders toward your heart.

4. Brush each area several times

Don’t do it until your skin turns raw but do it a few times. The first time you do this, your skin may be more sensitive until it gets used to it. Be gentle.

5. After brushing, bathe normally

To wash any of the dead skin off of your, shower or bath as you normally would.

6. Clean brush

I use Thieves Household Cleaner for everything, even cleaning my dry brush. It is natural ingredients which makes it safe to use.

I have a spray bottle with ONE cap of Thieves Household Cleaner and the rest water in my bathroom at all times. I spray it on my dry brush when I am done so that it can thoroughly dry before the next use.

I use Thieves Household Cleaner in a spray bottle, filled up with water. It is all-natural (with Essential Oils) which makes it safe (chemical-free) and it cleans like nothing I have ever used before. One capful in the water, that’s all. It is SO economical it is nuts. Buy ONE single bottle to replace all cleaning products (even laundry detergent) and it lasts for many months. Mine lasts for almost 6 months, replacing ALL cleaning products in my home. I use it for ALL of my cleaning: kitchen, bathroom, laundry, countertops, glass, rugs & carpet, etc. Wood polisher = pure oil plus one capful of Thieves Household Cleaner.
