Whiten Teeth Using Charcoal

whiten teeth using charcoal

Getting messy to clean things up!! Charcoal has got to be one of the messiest things ever but it sure does the job to whiten up teeth and help clean up oral health. Besides all the health benefits, oil pulling and charcoal can whiten our teeth. Who doesn’t want whiter teeth? Who doesn’t want better health?

Charcoal

Charcoal is one of the messiest substances. Keep this simple and reduce the mess.

Basically, you don’t want the charcoal to touch your bright white sink if possible. Spitting out charcoal in your sink simply makes a mess and clogs up your pipes. So skip the mess.

Instead, during oil pulling open ONE capsule of charcoal in your mouth. Tilt your head back and open it over your mouth. If you are talented, you can open it while you have the oil in your mouth. I am not that talented, so I open the capsule in my mouth first, then take a swig of oil. Trash the empty capsule – do NOT lay it down on your countertop or sink.

Swish the mixture in your mouth for up to 20 minutes. Takes a little practice to get the hang of it.

Then, spit out the mixture straight into a trash can. Or spit it out into a paper towel and then trash it.

Brush normally. Then rinse your mouth with pure water or salt water.

Amazing results. It cleans, detoxifies and whitens all at the same time.

This is not meant to be a daily routine. Adding contents of a charcoal capsule can be done once a week or once a month along with your oil pulling routine.

I also used this method when I used to have sores in my mouth from detoxing. It relieved some of the discomforts along with cleaning and healing the sores faster.

Charcoal Capsules

Charcoal capsules are very inexpensive. Try to purchase ones that are made from natural products, like coconut. Think about how budget-friendly this is = one bottle easily lasts 6-12 months.

Oil pulling oil = Banyan Organic Daily Swish (I have used this brand for years, LOVE IT, comes with herbs and essential oils in the mix)

Oral Health Linked to Disease

Health is significantly linked to oral health. While cleaning up our oral health, we can improve our overall health.

Since heart disease is killing more people than any other disease, let’s use it as an example.

Research from Austria has confirmed that dental caries are specifically linked with atherosclerosis – the hardening of the arteries – a major component of most heart diseases.

Keep it simple — take care of yourself in easy to do steps that are inexpensive.
