Improve Digestion with Essential Oils

Our health depends not just on what we eat, but our ability to digest, absorb and assimilate our nutrients. Topically applied essential oils can play a key supporting role in optimizing our digestion. When digestion is challenged, topically applied remedies can offer valuable digestive support

Parasympathetic Blend

Essential Oil Blend: Clove Bud and Lime

  • Parasympathetic Blend:  Digestion is a “rest and digest” parasympathetic event. Our nervous system needs to be in this relaxed state for the optimal digestive cascade to occur. Applying a small drop of Parasympathetic blend to the vagal nerve (behind the ear lobe on the mastoid bone) helps begin the digestive process by trigger the optimal digestive cascade where saliva is released from the mouth, HCL from the stomach, bile from the gallbladder and digestive enzymes from the pancreas and appropriate absorption and assimilation in the small intestine and elimination through the large intestine.

Pancreas

Essential Oil Blend: Geranium, Rose, Cucumber, Anise Seed, Rose Geranium and Helichrysum italicum

  • Pancreas:  Secretes digestive enzymes that help break down the carbohydrates, proteins, and fats so the nutrients can be properly absorbed in the small intestine. The pancreas also controls blood sugar levels and can get overworked and fatigued, impacting its optimal function. To put the pancreas in balance, consider rubbing some Vibrant Blue Oils Pancreas on the fifth rib (2 down from where the bottom of your bra) on the left side of the body to help put the pancreas back in balance for optimal function.

Gall Bladder

Essential Oil Blend: Black Cumin, Rosewood and Roman Chamomile

  • Gall Bladder:  Stores and concentrates bile, which helps to emulsify fats for optimal absorption. Bile is supposed to flow relatively easily through the bile duct to the small intestine. Unfortunately, it can often become viscous and stagnant, impeding fat digestion and resulting in symptoms like mild headaches, pain between the shoulder blades and floating stools. Fat assimilation is critical for numerous functions in the body, including the absorption of critical fat-soluble minerals, like vitamins A, E, D and K. Applying some Vibrant Blue Oils Gall Bladder to the gallbladder, on the right side of the body under the bra underwire or along and slightly under the right rib cage, can help ease bile flow for optimal fat assimilation and digestion. In addition to minimizing stress in your life, the topical application of essential oils can help support stress. Vibrant Blue Oils created specific blends to support your stress organs in the Vibrant Blue Stress Support Kit (including Adrenal, Hypothalamus, and Circadian Rhythm.

  1. I really appreciate your information in this blog about Essential Oils (EO). I have read a lot of stuff on the internet about EO’s but was not sure who to trust or how and where to start using them. You make learning fun and easy! Keep up the good work!

    1. There is plenty of FREE stuff out there but we do need to be cautious who we trust. EO’s are a ball when we use them correctly.
