Rewording Life To Make It Work – Cycology

Words are tricky. They can cut us to the core… OR we can be tricky with words to make them work for us. I saw this recently and fell in love with the work trickery. F.A.I.L. and N.O. and E.N.D. have all new meanings during chronic illness…

F.A.I.L.

FAIL means — First Attempt In Learning

The first time you become chronically ill is your First Attempt In Learning how in tarnation to deal with all the issues. Everything is new and different and challenging. It is a learning curve like no other.

N.O.

NO means — Next Opportunity

Chronic illness presents a boatload of opportunities in treatments, protocols, trial-and-errors, etc. When something does not work, Next Opportunity. It is not about rejection, it is about moving on to the next thing.

E.N.D.

END means — Effort Never Destroys

Every ounce of every bit of EFFORT you put into yourself during chronic illness NEVER DESTROYS anything. It all counts towards something. Every sip of water counts toward hydration. Every healthy bite of food counts towards nutrients. Every word of kind self-talk counts towards nourishing your soul. Every day you survive pain counts towards making it another day. EVERYTHING counts!!!!
