Matching Reality With Expectations

There are so many ups and downs with chronic illness that our expectations do not always match our reality. What happened days ago may or may not be our physcial reality for today. Constant matching of our reality to our expectations can get us down the healing path with greater ease and safety.

Last week I took a walk that was far beyond my physical limitations. I expected that I could rise above it all and that I could walk farther than what my body would allow. I did not do well last week matching my reality with my expectations.

This week, I found success!!!

I rolled with the ups and downs of this week so much better than last week.

This week I carefully matched my reality with my expectations and did so much better.

Okay, I cannot declare perfection but it is total victory when I match my reality with expectations BETTER THAN usual.

When we can match reality with expectations we can find victory. Victory nourishes our souls. Victory gives us a boost of encouragement.

As we nourish ourselves, in various ways, we move down the healing path with more ease.

What is your physical reality? What are your expectations of your body today? Does your reality match your expectations?
