Isolation Buster and a Really Bad Attitude

Yep, it got to me today, I officially had a bad attitude from the moment I woke up. I was grumpy toward myself and needed an isolation buster. Human contact was the answer but it was SO stinking hard to move through the barriers.

After being let down by my physical problems yesterday, I was a grouch towards myself since the moment I woke up this morning. I assumed that physically I would not be able to do any better than yesterday.

Error #1 = assuming anything.

Common sense set in and I pushed my way through the mental barriers to get to the isolation buster that I knew would work. I knew I needed basic human contact.

How can doing such simple things be so hard? This time it was my nasty self-talk that kept me down. I was familiar with this and pushed right on past the self-beating-up that was going on in my head.

How do you deal with nasty self-talk that keeps you down?

Today, I pushed through. Other days I sometimes crawl in bed and rest and give myself a break. It is not only different for me on different days but it will be different for you too.

Success!!! The isolation buster was a success. I got a little nicer to myself!!!!

How are YOU dealing with isolation and the physical overwhelm of being chronically ill?

Are you able to laugh at yourself for a ridiculous bad attitude??
